Techsport 3 for 3!

Rallycross Australia provided plenty of close , exciting racing at the Raleigh track near Coffs Harbour on the weekend of 21-22 August. However it was the Techsport Evo8 RX that came out on top once again – that makes it 3 wins from 3 starts! All with CIRCO brake pads.

Rallycross is not ‘hard’ on brakes as we all know. However it is incredibly important to have the best modulation, control and stopping power from cold temps.

So, following the previous event at Lakeside Queensland two weeks ago the 3rd round of the Australian series attracted some serious competition. With Heat wins each Justin Dowel is his very quick Hyundai i20 Proto and Will Orders in the CIRCO equiped Techsport Evo 8 RX battled throughout the day with typical exciting rallycross on the variation of track surfaces.

The Final saw Dowel and Orders lined up on the front row of the Grid with young Sean Bolger in his VW Polo S2000 and former Irish RX champion Michael Coyne in a Mazda Rallye on the second row .

The long fast 5th-gear blast down to the first corner proved decisive, with Orders muscling his way through under brakes in the Evo, then holding his line into the first corner. The two drivers were never far apart, and the cars were evenly matched. Will Orders drove on to a very close victory in the five lap Final , just a meter or so from the quick Hyundai Proto!

Techsport know the importance of having the best pads, even in Rallycross where overall speeds are low, but absolute control is essential. Don’t choose cheap, buy the best.
